Sushi Date

Sushi Date

Satin tops, silk pants and a few small gold pieces for a dinner at a sushi counter. It is for a date where you want to look dressed but still sit comfortably.

A sushi date is dinner at a low table or a counter, so I dress for sitting close and moving easily. My formula is one satin or silk piece in a dark, warm color and everything else simple. The Lovers And Friends Alette satin top and pants work as a set or split up, and the Cult Gaia Chantel skirt is the one I would wear with a plain tee and a flat sandal.

Brown and black do the heavy lifting here, like the Reformation Avery silk top or the STAUD Stroll pants in cigar. I add small gold, such as Heaven Mayhem knot earrings, and a little bag like the JW PEI Eloise that fits under the table. Skip anything that needs adjusting all night, because you will be shifting around on a cushion.
