Secondhand Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Or Damier Azur

Secondhand Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Or Damier Azur

Secondhand Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene and Damier Azur are the same coated canvas in two colorways, but the market treats them as two products. I sort the pieces by print and shape.

Damier Ebene, the forgiving one

I start with Damier Ebene because the dark check hides handling. The Pochette Trunk Mini, Speedy 25 and Neverfull PM are the shapes most people picture when they think of secondhand Louis Vuitton, and the bags that open this group are almost all in Excellent condition.

The first grid shows how differently the same check canvas can behave. The Double Zip Pochette and Pochette Felicie are small and flat, the Speedy 25 is a satchel, the Neverfull PM is a tote, and the newer arrivals bring in the Alma, the Ellipse, a Venice flap shoulder bag with a gold clasp and a slim Aubagne baguette. Condition varies from bag to bag, so I would check each listing on its own before choosing a shape.

My test is simple: decide whether you carry a bag on the shoulder, on the arm or in your hand, then pick the shape that suits that before you look at anything else.

Numbered collage of six lv damier from this edit: Louis Vuitton Pochette Trunk Mini in Damier Ebene, Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 in Damier Ebene, Louis Vuitton Neverfull PM in Damier Ebene, Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in Damier Azur, Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM in Damier Azur and Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 in Damier Azur.

Damier Azur, the pale one

Damier Azur is the pale one, and it shows its age. The Speedy 30 and Neverfull MM NM are the easy places to start, and the pink Summer Spirit Tahitienne Neverfull is a seasonal print I would treat as its own decision.

The Speedy 30 makes a useful comparison with the Ebene Speedy 25: the larger Azur bag is graded Very Good, while its smaller counterpart is Excellent. That contrast is a reminder to read condition alongside the print. A Naviglio and a Pochette Accessoires sit among the smaller shapes, followed by a Trunk Pochette Weekend, a Keepall Bandouliere 55 and a Favorite PM.

Propriano, Croisette, Eva, Soffi, Girolata and Salina PM round out the Louis Vuitton Azur shapes in this grid, so there is a size and a carry for most days.

More shapes in both prints

Past the classics there are far more shapes in this secondhand Louis Vuitton edit: Iena and Evora in Azur, Normandy, Berkeley, Belem and Brittany in Ebene, and a Speedy Bandouliere 30 for anyone who wants the strap. A long run of Azur and Ebene totes, satchels and shoulder bags follows, which is where the size decision really starts.

Which check I would carry

If I had to choose, I would take Ebene for daily use because the dark check forgives scuffs and the vachetta trim ages evenly. On any Azur listing I would look hard at the trim and the piping, since staining shows there first and photographs hide it.

If you want a Speedy, weigh the Ebene 25 against the larger Azur 30 and read the condition grade before the print. The Tahitienne Neverfull is a print variant, so shop it on its own terms. If you want to keep browsing, I also put together Louis Vuitton Bag Dupe and Louis Vuitton Wallet.
