Sarah Sherman Samuel home collection: a nature-led design practice
Sarah Sherman Samuel is an AD100 interior and product designer whose studio works across interiors, architecture, art and product development. Founded in Los Angeles in 2014, SSS Studio is now based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and describes its approach as wabi-sabi, with nature, texture, authenticity and the beauty of imperfection at its center.
Her first monograph, Sarah Sherman Samuel: The Intersection of Art and Design, arrived from Abrams on April 28, 2026. The 288-page book brings together interiors, furniture, textiles and fine art, and gives a close look at the thinking behind her rooms and objects.

Lulu and Georgia gave her a full home to design
Samuel's collections for Lulu and Georgia began in 2017, and the 2022 launch brought her first furniture capsule alongside rugs, pillows and wallpaper. The current collaboration spans more than 400 pieces across furniture, rugs, lighting, bedding, curtains and decor, while the fall 2026 line brings in looping silhouettes, hand-illustrated florals and metallic finishes.
That breadth makes the room-by-room edit useful for fall and winter. I would start with a substantial seat, table or rug, then add a textile and layered light. Her nature-led eye shows up in tactile materials and irregular shapes, while one or two graphic details keep a room from feeling too polite.

Where I would start with Sarah Sherman Samuel's style
Start with the Ripple Accent Chair as the room's anchor, then keep the rest of the furniture simple. When the days get shorter, add the Kukka Floor Lamp and let the room's softer textures do the rest. A patterned rug can bring movement without making every piece match.
