Peter Dunham Home Decor: Alpaca Throws, Indian Bedcovers and Teak Furniture

A fall and winter tour through Hollywood at Home, from Peter Dunham handwoven alpaca layers and Indian bedcovers to seating and vintage lamps.

Shop Peter Dunham home decor through handwoven alpaca bedcovers, Indian bedcovers, teak seating and vintage lighting from Hollywood at Home.

Why Peter Dunham starts with pattern and texture

Peter Dunham opened his Los Angeles design practice in 1998, launched his fabric and wallpaper line in 2003, and opened Hollywood at Home in 2007. I love how his studio, textiles and shop keep one design conversation going across a whole room.

Raised in France and educated in England, Peter draws on travel, Indian craft and California living. For fall and winter, his handwoven alpaca blankets and Indian bedcovers are where I would start, layering warmth before anything else.

A grounded room for Peter Dunham's furniture and finds

Peter Dunham's Hollywood at Home carries his teak and all-weather rush seating alongside vintage pieces he scouts for the shop. I like that combination of sturdy frames and finds with history, especially when a spare chair sits beside a sculptural lamp.

His first book, The World of Peter Dunham, was published in 2025 and frames his approach through Color, Rhythm, Togetherness and Nature. That vocabulary rings true in the shop, where woven layers, teak seating and old lighting can all belong in the same room.

Where I would start with Peter Dunham's style

Start with the Manta in Sand Alpaca Bedcover and Throw, then add the Indoor/Outdoor Laurel Rocking Chair. That pair brings handwoven texture and a practical frame into the room. I would let the rest of the scheme follow those materials.
