Orlando Soria's Storelando home collection, from art to winter decor

Orlando Soria's Storelando shop brings his playful point of view into the home with original paintings, ornaments, patterned gift wrap, tea towels and candles. I would start with the art, then pick one of his drawn ornaments for the holiday tree.

Soria studied at Cornell's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning and the University of Pennsylvania's School of Design. He founded his full-service studio in 2012, serves residential clients in Southern California and offers e-design to clients around the country.

Wiggle People ornaments for a playful holiday tree

Orlando Soria's winter edit brings pattern to useful home goods

Storelando's winter home goods pair patterned tea towels and gift wrap with candles that balance forest notes and humor. I like that the shop puts practical kitchen pieces alongside small decor that does not take itself too seriously.

On HGTV's Build Me Up, Soria helps people through major life transitions by reworking their homes. He wrote Get It Together, an interior decorating book threaded with life advice, and renovated and maintains Londo Lodge at Yosemite's South Gate as a vacation home.

Orlando Soria winter candles, from fir to holiday jokes

Where I would start with Orlando Soria's style

Start with Wiggle People Ornament, Waveman, then let it bring one bit of humor to the tree. For colder evenings, the Londo Lodge Frasier Fir Candle is my pick. I would stop there and let the art in the room do the rest.
