Law Roach’s image-architect approach meets fall and winter layers, sculptural bags and strong footwear in a story-led edit.

Law Roach Style: Fall/Winter Fashion With an Architectural Point of View
Statement outerwear, tactile knits and bags that echo the story-led approach behind Roach’s red carpet work.
Law Roach’s image architecture starts with the story
Law Roach describes himself as an image architect, and the phrase catches how he treats a red carpet as a story rather than a rack of clothes. He opened his vintage boutique, Deliciously Vintage, in 2009, then built a long creative partnership with Zendaya.
His 2024 book, How to Build a Fashion Icon, takes that point of view into print. I like that his strongest looks feel specific to a moment, while the clothes still carry a clear silhouette.

Outerwear with shaped volume: puffer coats, cropped jackets and tailored layers

Knitwear and tailoring: wool, Fair Isle, plaid and a clean trouser line
Method dressing gives the clothes a narrative
For Dune: Part Two, Roach and Zendaya adopted method dressing, connecting the press tour wardrobe to the film’s science fiction world. One of its standout references was Thierry Mugler’s archival robot suit from the fall 1995 couture collection.
Zendaya’s 2018 Met Gala look took a Joan of Arc idea from Versace, and Roach received the first CFDA Stylist Award in 2022. This edit follows the same rhythm with shaped outerwear, tactile knitwear, bags and shoes instead of recreating a single red carpet look.

Where I would start with Law Roach’s style
I would begin with a coat that sets the proportion. Add a knit with visible texture, then keep the accessories clean. That balance lets a reference feel personal rather than like a costume.
