Erin Walsh Style: Fall Layers, Eveningwear and Statement Shoes

A celebrity stylist's point of view, translated into tactile layers and expressive event dressing.

Shop fall and winter layers, designer knitwear, evening dresses and accessories inspired by Erin Walsh's styling and La Ligne capsule.

Erin Walsh starts with the person, not only the event

Erin Walsh styles long-term clients Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez and Mindy Kaling, building red-carpet moments around each person's voice. In 2026, WWD named her its Red Carpet Style Maker.

She studied acting at NYU before taking her first fashion job in Vogue's fashion department, working for Phyllis Posnick. Walsh says she begins with a client's preferences and how they want to feel, then builds from there.

Intentional dressing moves from the red carpet into real life

Her book, The Art of Intentional Dressing, carries that perspective into daily life. Its CREATE method stands for clarity, ritual, editing, alignment, truth and expansion.

Walsh also brought her point of view to a nine-piece La Ligne capsule spanning knitwear, shirting and dresses. I like how that everyday focus sits beside the expressive evening looks she builds with clients.

Where I would start with Erin Walsh's style

I would reach for a soft knit and a sharply cut jacket first. From there, I would follow the feeling the occasion calls for rather than a formula. The through line is personal expression, with room for the person wearing the clothes to come through.
