A guide to baggy jeans by silhouette: barrel, bowed, low slung and wide. For anyone who wants room in the leg and a shape that looks planned.

Baggy denim is really about the leg shape, so I shop by silhouette before I shop by wash. Barrel and bowed legs curve in at the ankle and look great with a loafer, like the Le Jean and Pistola pairs here. Low slung styles such as the Agolde ones sit on the hip and want a fitted tee or a cropped knit on top.

 

For a cleaner take, the Lemaire oversized pair in white and the EB Denim Shifter in chocolate brown feel more grown up than a faded blue. If you want the classic skate shape, Abrand's 95 Super Baggy and GRLFRND's Rowan are the ones I would try first.
