Cut Stone

Cut Stone

Structured, sculptural pieces in stone, slate and warm grey, from sharp blazers to long pleated trousers and a block heel mule. For when minimalism wants a point of view.

Minimalism gets interesting when the pieces have a clear shape. This edit is all stone, slate and warm grey, cut with a sharp shoulder or a straight line. I would start with a blazer, because structure does the work. The A.L.C. Calla jacket in camel and the Djerf Avenue Forever blazer both hold their shape over a plain white tee, and BOSS's Jalet in pale stone looks great with matching trousers.

Then I go for the bottoms that keep the lines clean. Helmut Lang's wide double pleat trousers and the CO pencil skirt are long and quiet, and Victoria Beckham's draped skirt is the one piece where the cut makes the whole outfit. Margaux's Brera mules in dark brown keep the heel low and the look serious.

For a bag I would pick one shape and stick with it, like the Cuyana zipper tote or the Yuzefi scallop. Wear it with a faux leather trench from Naked Wardrobe when you want the sculptural idea to feel a little sharper.
