Cowboy Adjacent

Cowboy Adjacent

Western-inspired looks built around fringe, denim on denim, wide-brim hats and tall boots, styled for the city and not the ranch. For anyone who wants a little cowboy in an everyday outfit.

Cowboy adjacent is how I dress when I want the Western details without looking like I am heading to a rodeo. I start with one real piece, usually a boot like the Tony Bianco Toronto or a wide-brim hat from Lack of Color, and let everything else stay city. Fringe is the easiest way in, and I like it best on a plain base, like the Yellow the Label Jones top over wide jeans or the SIMONMILLER leather fringe dress with flat sandals.

Denim on denim is the other half of the idea. The Levi's bustier with matching shorts works as a set, and the SIMKHAI Hanley mini dress gives you the same feeling in one piece. Lovers and Friends makes a denim midi that I would wear with a tan belt and nothing else, and a turquoise cross necklace from 8 Other Reasons is all the jewelry you need.
