Color Spotlight: Ballet Pink

Color Spotlight: Ballet Pink

A ballet pink edit of slip dresses, skirts, soft knits and a tote, all in pale blush shades. It is for anyone who wants pink that feels soft and grown up.

Ballet pink is the softest color I own, and it only looks sweet when you keep the shapes simple. I like it in slip dresses, like the lace-trimmed Lioness mini or the Lomira bow dress from LoveShackFancy, because the satin catches light and the pink reads more blush than bubblegum. I went deeper on a related idea in Pink Gifts for Women: The Group Text That Named a Color. I went deeper on a related idea in Pink Heels: How Barbie's Stiletto Mule Became a Closet Color.

Skirts are the easiest way in. The Montce ruched mini and the Peixoto maxi both work with a plain white tee, while L'AGENCE's Tico midi is the one I would wear to a dinner. For daytime I reach for a fuzzy Reformation knit or MOTHER's cropped cardigan over jeans, then carry the Loeffler Randall tote so the pink stays a little dressed down.
