Suede and shearling clogs for everyday comfort, plus wooden and studded clogs that work with jeans, skirts and tights all fall.

Clogs for Women: Suede, Shearling, Wooden and Studded Styles
Clogs for women that feel like slippers and look like real shoes
Why clogs are the fall shoe
Clogs slip on in a second, keep your feet warm, and look great with socks, which makes them the perfect shoe for fall errands and coffee runs. The trick is picking a pair with a closed toe and a sturdy sole so they look like a real shoe, not a slipper.
This season there are two clog moods. Soft suede and shearling clogs are the cozy everyday option, while wooden and studded clogs feel more polished and a little retro.
Here are both, so you can pick the one that fits your week.

Soft suede and shearling clogs
The brown suede clog with a buckle is the classic. It goes with jeans, cords and even a midi skirt with socks. The cream shearling lined pair and the black shearling one are the warmest, and they make a simple outfit feel cozy.
For a softer look, the sand and pale pink suede pairs have a minimal shape with no buckle at all. The chestnut pair with a chunky sole adds height, and the auburn suede pair with a back strap stays on better when you walk a lot.
My fitting room test: your heel should sit right on the footbed, not hang off the back. What I would skip: thin soles that you can feel every step through.

Wooden and studded clogs
Wooden clogs are the dressier side of the trend. The black leather pair on a pale wood heel and the blush pair look clean and modern, while the dark brown and black studded pairs feel more vintage.
If you want a bit more height, the tan leather wedge and the espresso suede pair with a buckle are the tallest here. The mustard suede pair with a little heel looks great with cropped jeans, and the black shearling lined wooden pair is the coziest of the group.
What I check: a heel that feels stable when you stand still. What I would skip: very high wooden soles that make you clomp on hard floors.

How I would wear clogs this fall
Wear a brown suede clog with thick socks, straight jeans and a chunky cardigan for an easy weekend outfit. For work, try a black wooden clog with tights and a wool skirt.
Brush suede clogs with a soft brush every few wears and spray them before the first rain so they stay looking new.
If you want to keep going, Wooden Clogs and UGG Clogs pair well with this edit.
