Azeeza is a Chicago label that makes dresses and tops out of silk and loud, hand-dyed color. I like that it feels like occasionwear with a point of view, so this edit follows the pieces I would actually reach for.

Azeeza Dresses: The Pieces Worth Buying
The Chicago designer who loves color
I have a theory that the best party dresses come from people who pay attention to the women wearing them, and Azeeza fits it neatly. Azeeza Khan started her label in Chicago in 2012, selling straight to customers and letting their response build the business, which I find far more charming than a New York launch party. The city is still part of the identity (and I like that it is not trying to hide it). I went deeper on a related idea in Kate Barton Dresses: The Pieces Worth Buying.
Her own story comes back to pure silk, hand-dyed color and feminine shapes, with ethical sourcing and a wide size range built in from the start. The clothes in this edit carry all of that on a friendly scale. Some are bold enough to be the whole outfit, and others are quiet places to begin, with saturated shades and sculptural lines doing the talking.

Dresses that know how to enter
The dresses feel closest to what Azeeza does best, which is movement with a little structure. The Solenne Mini Dress in Gold is flowy lamé with a ruffled skirt, a party built into the fabric itself. The Naina Midi Dress in Amethyst is the dressy one, with a lace-up back and a hem that swings when she walks. Deepika Gown in Coffee takes the palette down a few notches and feels easy and calm. If you want to keep going, Rowen Rose Dresses: The Pieces Worth Buying This Season is the one I would read next.
Picture her choosing Naina for a gallery opening, then saving Deepika for a candlelit dinner where the coffee shade does all the work. What I would skip: hiding the back of Naina under a jacket. The corset-style lacing is the point, so plan your underpinnings around it.

Tops with a point of view
The tops give the collection its playful side without losing the sculptural shapes. The Plath Top in Wine is a halter in crisp cotton poplin with an open back, and the Winston Top in Polkadot is the same family with a ruffled hem and a lot more humor. I would build an outfit around either one rather than treat it as an afterthought.
Picture her with Plath tucked into a high trouser for dinner, or Winston with a plain skirt so the polka dots stay in charge. A backless or adhesive bra is the sensible move with both, since the open back is half the look.

Separates for the in-between plans
This last group is the part that makes the dresses easier to live with. The Shreya Capri in Wine is a cropped jersey pant I would wear with a tucked-in cotton top and a flat sandal for an ordinary day. The Sheridan Skirt in Lemon is a full poplin midi, and its bright yellow is a lovely excuse to keep everything else simple.
In my fashion dreams, she wears the lemon skirt with a neat white shirt and a low heel, then saves the wine capri for a travel day. Check the skirt length against where you like your waist to sit before you choose shoes, because that decides the whole proportion.

Color with a little structure
What I keep coming back to is how Azeeza makes color feel architectural rather than loud. A taffeta bodice, a cotton halter with a cutout, a skirt shaped by darts: the small construction choices give the saturated shades somewhere to land. Chicago still shapes the label's point of view, which gives its occasionwear a more personal scale than red-carpet spectacle. For me the best entry is one piece that changes the temperature of everything already in your closet. Although I suspect the first one never stays alone for long.
