Autumn, à la Paris

Autumn, à la Paris

A fall edit of turtlenecks, tailored blazers and suede skirts in brown, black and camel. Built for anyone who wants to dress like Paris in October.

Paris in the fall has a color story I never get tired of: chocolate, black, camel and a little grey. The women I picture there wear a thin turtleneck under a tailored blazer and a suede skirt, and nothing looks like it took effort. I start with the knits, like the Frankie Shop and Róhe turtlenecks, which are slim enough to sit under anything, then add a sweater with more texture such as the Rodebjer alpaca or the Reformation Jo in camel.

The blazers do the work of making it feel French. Favorite Daughter's Madison Avenue is sharp and easy over jeans, and Lioness has a slate pinstripe that looks sharper than you would expect. For the bottom half I like a short suede skirt from PAIGE or Z Supply with tall black boots, and a deep oxblood Mansur Gavriel bag to finish the whole thing.
